The 85260 Zip Code has a Scottsdale address — and, yet, is not Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Real Estate Buy, however, would not be complete, without an explanation of this huge body of land and its community.  Scottsdale has been historically shaped by being adjacent to this community called the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

This land is a reservation owned, controlled and governed by two Native American tribes:  The Pima, meaning River People, and the Maricopa, meaning those who live toward the water.

Twelve Thousand Acres of this land are cultivated for crops including broccoli, carrots, cotton, melons and onions.  The tribes have established a number of successful enterprises including the Talking Stick Golf Club, Saddleback Communications, Casino Arizona at Salt River and a number of others.
